For almost four decades, Scanreco has contributed to safer workplaces around the world with its remote control solutions for the most demanding industries and harsh environments. With a strong collaboration, they ensure that the products are of top quality.

Scanreco is a world leader in radio control of machines, cranes and work vehicles. For 37 years, the company has developed and delivered remote control systems around the world. But what exactly is the recipe for success? Linn Lemón has worked at the company for a year and a half and believes that the success factor is spelled cooperation.

– At Scanreco, we collaborate in all stages – from requirements processing phase to finished product. Simply put, collaboration is the key. Through knowledge, experience and teamwork, we ensure that we continue to be at the forefront of the industry, she says.

Linn Lemón works as a Verification and Compliance Engineer and her task is to ensure that Scanreco’s products meet the requirements and directives set.

– When we receive a requirements specification from a customer, we review it, review which additional requirements should be included and make a risk assessment. My task is then to do different tests to see how the product meets the different functional, safety and environmental requirements that exist, she says.

Collaboration on several levels

At Scanreco, there are many different engineering roles, everything from application engineer to working with test equipment. Per-Erik Andersson works as a project manager at the company and despite having only been at Scanreco’s head office in Sätra for six months, he also highlights the collaboration between the various engineering teams as one of the company’s strongest strengths.

– Everyone is more or less involved in the whole chain. Something that I consider to be one of our strengths is when you radiate and make assessments at different integration points. It is not only project members who gather but also senior managers in the company to review the results. That we can combine all engineering teams and with the many years of experience in the same integration point shows that we are skilled and that we have a good teamwork, he says.

Higher requirements for function and safety

And undeniably, a good collaboration is important as the demands from OEM companies increase and become increasingly advanced. Requirements for exceptional functionality and security are in focus for customers in turn to gain a competitive advantage in the markets.

– The heavy requirements are aimed at increasing machine safety while at the same time wanting to constantly increase the functional advanced content. But it is precisely the combination of these two that I think Scanreco is good at, says Per-Erik Andersson.

Both Linn Lemón and Per-Erik Andersson agree that Scanreco is a workplace to develop. With a lot of competence within the company, you learn from each other.

– Everyone is helpful and the ceiling is high at the same time as new things always happen in the industry. Scanreco has a culture where they believe in the individual from day one, says Linn Lemón.
