Suspected hacker attack against 7-Eleven in Denmark
Danish 7-Eleven stores are closed during the morning due to a suspected hacker attack.
A total of 175 stores are affected. According to the Danish 7-Eleven Facebook page, the cash registers in the stores cannot be used and it is therefore not possible to take payment.
“We are therefore closed until we get knowledge of the extent. We naturally hope that we can open the stores again soon,” writes 7-Eleven.
Swedish stores open
In Sweden, the stores connected to the franchise chain are open as usual.
– Our stores are open as usual, I have not received any other information than that this should be the case, says marketing manager Lennart Schultz at Reitan Convenience, Sweden, which is the franchisor of 7-Eleven.
