Saab receives German billion order on radar system
Saab will sell marine radar systems to Germany for SEK 4.6 billion.
The defense group Saab has received an order regarding the delivery and integration of marine radar systems and fire control systems to the German Navy. The order is worth about 4.6 billion, according to a press release.
The agreement signed with the German Defense Materiel Administration includes a new battle command system.
The system enables a complete overhaul of the existing system on the F123 frigates. This means that the new marine radar and fire control capabilities can be integrated with low risk.
In addition to the 9LV Combat Management System, two marine radar systems, Giraffe 4A and Giraffe 1X, as well as the Ceros 200 fire control system, also include a logistics package and third-party products.
