The Danish royal ship had engine problems
Queen Margrethe II of Denmark must find new accommodation during her trip around the Faroe Islands. The royal ship Dannebrogen, which serves as her private residence during travel, has suffered from engine problems and does not arrive in the Faroe Islands until a few days after the monarch.
In addition to being a royal residence, Dannebrogen is used as an extra festive and solemn element during certain state visits.
The Danish queen does not travel by ship all the way to the destination, but uses Dannebrogen on site to create a grand introduction to the visit.
Norway also has a royal ship, which is called Norway. The Swedish royal ship, on the other hand, was abolished a hundred years ago.
