The car manufacturers’ attitude and launch rate when it comes to electrified vehicles varies greatly. Some see it as a niche vehicle while others see it as the future. Ford is among those who have pulled their feet after it. When VW, Mercedes and BMW promised multi-billion investments a few years ago, the American was not as loud.

That’s how much the Mustang Mach-E costs

But that has not meant that electrification will not come. Last year, the Mustang Mach E electric car was launched at the Detroit trade fair – and this summer the cars will come to us here in Sweden.

Those who are hungry can, however, already now place an order as Ford has opened up for orders, and revealed what the car will cost.

Initially, there are four different versions: The available options are rear-wheel drive in Long Range, and Standard Range or four-wheel drive in similar designs. The entry-level model starts at SEK 574,900 and then you get a car that will officially cover up to 440 km on one charge.

Four-wheel drive Mach-E most expensive

The most expensive is the four-wheel drive Long Range version, which has a price tag starting at SEK 734,900.

In terms of what the competitors offer, this is relatively powerful. Mach E is in size in the same district as Mercedes EQC and BMW IX3. The Ford is really much cheaper in its simpler rear-wheel drive vintage and also as a four-wheel drive with the 99 kWh battery (Long Range), the price is lower than the two Germans.

Compared to Tesla’s model Y, Ford’s end up at about the same price.

Ford believes in Mach-E in Sweden

In addition to being electrically powered, Mach-E also comes with Ford’s latest infotainment system, remote updates and more imaginatively named driving modes such as Whisper, Active and Untamed.

Ford Sweden says that interest in the model has been great, and that they expect to sell 3,000 cars in 2021.
